Graduation season means caps and gowns, bands play "Pomp and Circumstance," parents beaming with pride, and speakers delivering commencement addresses full of wisdom and wit.
I love all of it, but I am especially partial to the speeches. The wisdom and humor shared in them is beneficial to not just those wearing mortar boards, but to all of us. I often find myself motivated by them, and I like to share a few each year with my daughter.
Here are eight great graduation speeches of 2016. They were delivered by a wide array of individuals, from the Vice President to Sheryl Sandberg to Hank Azaria (and some of his Simpsons' characters) to some graduates themselves. May their words inspire you.
