We know that it's important for kids to read even when school is out so that there is no summer slide. That is sometimes easier said than done, though. Maggie McGuire is a Vice President at Scholastic, mom of two tween boys, and former middle school language arts teacher, so she has experienced summer reading with kids from all different perspectives.
