Inside Out Emotion Garden at Epcot Inspired by Movie about Tweens

It is no secret that I'm really excited about the Pixar movie Inside Out that will be released in theaters on June 16, 2015, as I've written about here. This movie is totally up my alley - it's about what goes on inside the mind of the a tween girl named Riley and is the result of the filmmakers attempting to make sense of the mood swings and emotional roller coaster that they experienced when parenting their adolescent children.

I was at Walt Disney World last week for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. I was able to stay a few days on my own after the event and I spent some time in Epcot. It was during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival and I was thrilled to discover that new this year was an Emotion Garden, inspired by the movie Inside Out.

Here are some photos of the Emotion Garden and a chance to meet the different characters who are the emotions inside Riley's head.

I hadn't thought about how plants correlated to emotions, but leave it to Pixar to help me see things in a new light. (See what I did there? Because their logo includes the light? Okay, moving on.)

Which emotion is your favorite, either based on character or garden section? Are you looking forward to the Inside Out movie? You can see the Inside Out trailer here.
