Printable holiday scavenger hunt clues make present finding fun

The holiday scavenger hunt has been a Christmas tradition in my family for decades. I recounted the many reasons parents should stage a scavenger hunt around the house here.

It's great fun to make the kids work to find a gift, but I know parents have enough work at the holidays. To help you out, below you can find 10 holiday scavenger hunt clues.

If you want to make an epic hunt, or want separate hunts for each child, check out the 2014 holiday scavenger hunt clues here, the 2015 clues here and the 2016 clues hereOther than the final destination, no locations are repeated.

Click on the text below to print  the clue and you're ready to go, or you can adjust these however you like: leave more blanks so older kids have to complete the rhyme, or fill it in for younger ones. Cut them out, secretly place the clues and let the fun begin!

I can write out the clues for you, but I can't buy the gift for you. I can, however, offer up some ideas with this Tween Gift Guide, some fun educational gift ideas or suggestions for gift cards that tweens and teens will love.

When the hunt is over, consider watching one of these Christmas television specials or festive holiday films.

Happy hunting, and merry Christmas!
