Saint Expedite, patron saint of procrastination

Saint Expedite, patron saint of procrastination

A few weeks ago, while entering our church I saw a stack of prayer cards on a table.  I found out through one of my Facebook followers that Saint Expedite is the patron saint of procrastination.

I have found my patron saint!

The prayer on the other side of the card is intriguing:

Saint Expedite, Noble Roman youth, martyr, you who quickly brings things to pass, you who never delays, I come to you in need:

(Clearly express what you want and ask him to find a way to get it to you.)

Do this for me, Saint Expedite, and when it is accomplished, I will as rapidly reply with an offering to you.

(State your vow or promise.)

Be quick, Saint Expedite!  Grant my wish before your candle burns out, and I will glorify your name.  Thanks for the favor granted to us.

Wow!  A deal-making saint!  This could be interesting  ...

If you're looking for a saint to guide you this year, Jennifer Fulwiler has set up the Saint's Name Generator a fun way to help you find one.

As for me, I'm sticking with Saint Expedite.
