When I was a kid, we called the Epiphany, "little Christmas." I wasn't Catholic back then. Most of my friends were and I just copied them. I had no idea what it meant.
This year, I thought more about it simply because of my own journey. The Magi had a deep desire to find the Christ child. As I get deeper into my own faith, that desire has grown for me, too.
"The Magi set out because of a deep desire which prompted them to leave everything and begin a journey. It was as though they had always been waiting for that star." - Pope Benedict XVI
And it was like that for me too.
