My daughter startled me with this question the other day: "Do you think our family is different because of our faith?"
I was startled because I wasn't expecting it and also because I knew exactly what she meant. She knows a lot of young people who don't get along with their parents and their family life is not exactly Ozzie and Harriet.
I still hesitated in answering her. I'd like to think that my husband and I live our lives in reflection of our faith. We are far from perfect parents, but our compass has always been the Catholic Church.
The "proof is in the pudding" as the old saying goes. And we are very proud of our "pudding."
