Chicago Teachers Could Learn a Lesson From the Saints

"The school of Christ is the school of charity.  On the last day, when the great general examination takes place, there will be no question at all on the text of Aristotle, the aphorisms of Hippocrates, or the paragraphs of Justinian.  Charity will be the whole syllabus." - St. Robert Bellarmine

The saints are our teachers.  They lead the way through their example and writings.  We are blessed to have them at our fingertips whether it is through the internet or a well worn book.

Here in Chicago, the teachers strike continues and parents are growing increasingly impatient.  In this city, you can't have kids running amok for too long.  There's bound to be trouble.

The teachers might gain their good public relations back if they went back to work while still negotiating.  Then I think everyone would believe them when they said it was about "the children."
