This video always raises my spirits and reminds me of all that is good about our Church.
In today's Gospel, Jesus talks about the Kingdom of God, "as if a man were to scatter seed on the land ..." With the internet, we can reach so many people about our faith, even the ones who don't believe.
Now as much as sharing my faith helps me grow in that faith, reading (or hearing) what an unbeliever says, pretty much does the same thing.
You see, some people have a stereotype of a Catholic. Maybe you think of a gray-haired woman in her 60's who's cranky and a gossip, but she's in church every week. I'm going to be 60 in May (and I'm blonde *cough*) and I'm in church every week. Trust me, I'm the polar opposite of that.
I have a stereotype of the unbeliever, too. But mine is the anonymous man who spends countless hours behind a computer trying to tear down the Catholic faith with his vicious verbage. It has become his lonely mission.
I guess I'm an optimist because I think one day, that unbeliever is going to be touched by someone or something and stop fighting the church, just like St. Paul did.
Uh, yeah and this is a Catholic porn site!
