"Lord To Whom Can We Go?"

"Because of this many of his disciples turned back and no longer went about with him.  So Jesus asked the twelve, "Do you also wish to go away?"  Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom can we go?"  (John 6:66-67)
The disciples were struggling and complaining about Jesus' teachings on the bread of life.  Finally, several of them decided to no longer follow him.  It is Simon Peter that states the obvious, ""Lord to whom can we go?"
Where would we go without faith in Christ?  What would our lives be like?  I don't know about you, but mine would be very different and I literally get a chill just thinking about it.  I was single and in a bad relationship.  Our mutual friends were nice people, but there was a bad blend of poor lifestyle choices and more bad relationships.  We were a poor reflection of each other.
Once I became Catholic, this particular scripture verse really resonated with me.  I knew what the alternative was first hand.  I knew what it was like not to have God in my life.  I knew what it was not to know Jesus or to have the Spirit fill me with the grace I so desperately needed.  I knew what it was like not to have a loving Mother, who's only request of me was to accept her Son.
I knew the answer to Simon Peter's question:  No one.
