The Kicking of Nikki Lynette's Ass

I have sooooo much to tell you guys, and so little time to do it. I'm gonna have to find the time to sit down and get it all out. It's a loooooooong story. However, there is a lil' something that I'd like to address right now. Lend me your ear....ummm... I mean, eye. Both eyes.

You know how there are some people who love to exercise? They're the  people who wake up in the morning, pack their gym bag and happily trot off to the gym 3 to 5 days a week. They're totally self motivated and nothing can deter them from their fitness goals. You know the type I'm talking about, right? Well whatever the polar opposite of them is, that's what I am.

Because I have a love/hate relationship with working out (mostly hate,) I prefer to workout with a personal trainer. Aside from giving you the motivational push you need to get through a tough workout, they also know how to maximize your results by tailoring your workout to your specific needs. My current trainer is a woman named Candy Morales. And she kicks my m*th@rf#ck%ng ass.

Although Candy and I have become friends, none of that matters once we hit the workout floor. She's brutal. So far, she's made me:

  • run up 5 flights of stairs carrying one 10 pound weight in each hand.
  • run up 5 flights of stairs a second time (after a 4 minute break from the first time) carrying the weights out in front of me at a 90 degree angle.
  • take her Athletic Cross Training class at my gym, where she yelled at me (in front of everyone) and kept coming by to make sure I was properly "challenged."
  • crawl on all fours while she held a resistance band around my waist and made me drag her across the room. Twice.
  • do 72 consecutive oblique twists holding a 15 pound weight.
  • do sit ups on the incline bench with a 15 pound weight in my hands and made me touch the weight to her hands, which she held at various far distances.
I'm getting sore just thinking about it! There have been too many crazy exercises to name! OMG. I'm convinced she made some of them up, or saw them being done in torture chambers or something.

Candy showing off her guns. Lol
So why would somebody who isn't into S&M pay to have Candy kick their ass? the answer is simple. Results. Without altering my diet much, i lost 4 pounds and 2% body fat in 1 week, and gained 2 pounds of muscle. So... since she's good great at what she does, I have to continue. Damn it. If working out wasn't painful then EVERYBODY would be in shape.

  • Work it girl! We love to see the smile that's on your face! :D

  • Keep up the good work.

  • Nikki I train with Candy and I've been taking her cardiokickboxing class & advanced step!! Candy is the first trainer I've ever worked with, She is the sweetest person you'll ever meet but she will definitenly kick your butt and push you to the limit & beyond!!! My stamina has increased, my energy level is up and I'm almost 20 pounds lighter!! I'm working on consistency with my hectic schedule but the one thing I know in my process of weight removal, muscle toning & better health is that Candy is the trainer for me!! Keep up the good work & stick with Candy no matter how creative she gets (and she does) or how much she tortures you (she will) because you'll look & feel great!

  • Let Candy continue to push you, you'll be happy that you did!
