5 fun things to do when you have insomnia

Insomnia is a part of my life that I've grown to accept. I've had so many late night studio sessions and attended so many parties that started at 10pm and ended at 8am the next day that I've become nocturnal. But sometimes, when I wanna go to sleep and insomnia rears its ugly head, I drink a cup of chamomile tea or pop a sleeping pill and wait for the sleepy to happen. 

For my fellow reluctant creatures of the night, here's a short list of cool things you can do to occupy yourself while you're waiting for your drowsiness to kick in. 
1. TAKE A BATH

The calming affects of a nice, warm bath are indescribable. And if you have somebody who can enjoy the bath with you...it might lead to a sexy good time. You won't have much trouble sleeping after that. 
2. STUFF YOUR FACE

I know that eating before bed can pack on the pounds... but so can lack of sleep. A small, healthy snack just might be relaxing enough to set the wheels of slumber in motion. However, my method is to eat until I have a food coma and then do enough cardio to burn it off the next day. Do not doubt the effectiveness of this method until you try it for yourself. 
3. BROWSER WINDOW SHOP

There's no harm in looking, right? Especially if you're browsing takes place in front of a computer screen. This is actually my favorite time to shop, because I can truly relax and enjoy the experience. And what's more relaxing than shopping, right? Some of my favorite places to visit online for cute, inexpensive impulse purchases are Garment Vault, Akira Chicago, and Coodie Ranks, just to name a few. 
4. KILL SOME TIME ON A SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE

The stuff that you will see at 4am on a social networking site is totallllly different from what you see during normal hours. Its a great way to kill some time, but I warn you... proceed with caution. 
5. WATCH TERRIBLE, STUPEFYING VIDEOS

 

There's something about watching weird people do weird things that really blows my mind. Thats why the nighttime is the perfect time to watch them. Some of the crap you'll find on the internet is so bad that it'll induce a coma-like state almost instantaneously. Take the above video from WorldStarHipHop.com, for example. Its mind numbing. So after you watch it, be sure not to operate cars or any other heavy machinery.
I hope this list helps with your insomnia. Nothing is worse than being nocturnal involuntarily :o/
