Preseason games are often meaningless but this game has a little more buzz. Here are four things we are all pretty excited for:
Brandon Marshall in a Bears uniform for the first time.
If the Jay Cutler trade was the biggest acquisition in team history, the Marshall trade is right up there. This completes the Bears' evolution to the passing league era and now the Bears have a deep threat that opposing defenses will have to account for.
A first look at the newly installed Mike Tice offense.
On the STH conference call, Jay Cutler was excited about the new offense as he will be able to audible out of doomed plays, get the ball out of his hands with quick passes, and run a no-huddle fast passed offense to keep the defense off balanced.
Rookies Shea McClellin and Alshon Jeffery.
Both will get plenty of time on the field to show why the Bears drafted them. While McClellin is considered a "work in profess", Jeffery has shown flashes.
Will the offensive line keep Cutler of his back?
When it was announced that Kristin Cavallari gave birth to Camden Jack Cutler, J'Marcus Webb tweet that not only will he have to protect Jay, he will also have to keep Cutler Jr. in mind. Let's hope the entire unit keeps this in mind as we saw the Bears nose dive when Cutler went down last season.
