I don't normally write/cover topics about a player's personal life unless it impacts the team. I'm more interested in the condition of Jay Cutler's thumb and how the recovery is progressing. With that, maybe this does impact the team as we continue to see Cutler's progression, not only as a football player, but also a man.
Before Cutler came to the Bears, he was perceived to be the frat-boy-looking guy that no one liked. People didn't like his demeanor, his attitude... whatever. When he was traded to the Bears, people got on him for his "body language". Then after the NFC title game, he was perceived to be some wuss. This season, he saw how important he really was to the team and how good he can be. Critics had their foots in their mouths. This life moment could very well be the beginning of the maturation of our franchise quarterback.
According to People.com, Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari are expecting their first baby.
