With Christmas Day almost one week away, there's one thing Bears fans want for Christmas. We all want the kid from Santa Claus, Ind. to play against the Packers at Lambeau Field, spoil their perfect season and lead the Bears to the playoffs. Chicago and Bears fans all over the world are hoping for a Christmas Miracle. It would add to the folklore around the charter franchise of the league and a story that will be told to future generations of Bears fans.
But have Bears fans been naughty or nice?
We're you one of those fans who were influenced by the national media's portrayal of Jay Cutler being a pouty, diva quarterback that lacked leadership skills and was a bad teammate?
Where you one of those fans who burned Cutler's jersey after he was injured in the NFC title game and questioned his toughness?
After all that was said and done, did you still criticize his demeanor when you saw him on the sidelines yelling at coaches earlier this season when the Bears started 2-3 and he kept getting blasted in the backfield?
Then the Bears went on a five game win streak and you saw how important Cutler really was and how good he could be.
Now that you've seen the Bears lose three straight games, you want him back on the field as soon as possible.
In an appearance on “The Waddle and Silvy Show” on ESPN 1000, Cutler talked about how it feels to throw a football again and how he's itching to get back on the field. He even said there's an outside chance that he'll be available for the Packers game.
So, have you been naughty or nice? Will some of us have coals in our stockings this Christmas or will the Miracle happen?
Regardless, it's been over 25 years since the last Super Bowl and we've been patiently waiting. But first things first, beat the Seahawks and then we'll be in business.
