So much has been said about Jay Cutler's demeanor on the sidelines. We've heard it all before -- "he doesn't have the fire", "he doesn't have a passion for the game".
"Whatever," as Cutler would say.
When Cutler was with the Broncos, he was often compared to Phillip Rivers. To many, Rivers has the fire and the passion. I guess that's why hi's jawing at and taunting is excused.
This past January, Rivers seemed to have grown up. When asked about the controversy around Cutler and the NFC Championship game, Rivers said:
"Me personally, I'd have to have been taken off in a cart..."
It seems like a another shot at Cutler but then goes on to say :
"That doesn't mean I'd be right. If they knew he couldn't throw the ball good, he wasn't helping anybody... I'll never say what he should have done. I can't even say what I would have done in the same position. I do know I'm not coming out unless I can't do anything, and maybe that's how it was (for Cutler)."
Cutler has a 1-3 record against Rivers and the Chargers. His Broncos teams weren't as talented as this Bears team. This season, Rivers leads the league with 15 interceptions and the Chargers are inconsistent as ever. Expect the Bears to win their fourth straight game.
