Again... Forte Needs To Get Paid

If you caught the Bears-Titans game, Matt Forte is continuing to show why he deserves to get paid. Forte rushed for 74 yards, averaged 4.4 yards per carry and caught one pass for 15 yards. Not to mention, he blocked and pancaked a blitzing Cortland Finnegan, one of the league's most annoying players on the field (ask Andre Johnson).

Over the past three years, Forte has the fourth most yards from scrimmage with 4,731 yards.  Chris Johnson (5,606), Adrian Peterson (5,343), Maurice Jones-Drew (4,795) and Steven Jackson (4,783) are the only other running backs with more yards from scrimmage.

Forte hasn't made a stink and held out of training camp or preseason. From what we've seen this preseason, he continues to earn every penny of his rookie contract, by running hard and over defenders, running away from would-be tacklers and protecting Cutler's backside. It's time to pay him.
