Cutler: Toughness Has Never Been An Issue

Cutler address media about his toughness

Jay Cutler has easily become the most criticized athlete in recent history not only in Chicago but nationally. His toughness was criticized during the game and was persecuted for not making a statement after the game.

On Friday, a trimmer, more diesel Cutler addressed the media for the time since the title game.

"You know, I didn't read that much. I kind of got away for a little bit.

A lot of my toughness and everything else was questioned. You know, that's all news to me. That never has been an issue to me (nor) have I been questioned about it. Didn't really know how to react to it, but I know that anyone who has played with me or coached me has never questioned that. … You can't get caught up in that stuff."

Know this Bears fans... even though Cutler didn't say too much about what's been said, you can bet he's using that as motivation.

The only thing that matters is winning. If you think Cutler should have made a statement after the fact, you're wrong. It doesn't matter if it didn't make PR sense. The only thing that will help restore his credibility is winning.
