Bears Poised to Sign Wide Reciever

With the Bears trading Greg Olsen, they will now shift their attention to signing a wide receiver for Jay Cutler to throw to. A couple options come to mind as to who the Bears should sign -- Roy Williams or Mike Sims-Walker.

Williams' best seasons were in Detroit when Mike Martz was the offensive coordinator. If the Bears do sign him, not only will he be reunited with Martz but also with Bears' wide receivers coach Daryl Drake, who recruited him to Texas. He already understands Martz' system and the Bears can literally plug him in and press play. He never lived up to the hype when he was traded to Dallas and will be looking to refresh his career.

Sims-Walker is similar to Williams just a little younger. Like Williams, he will give Cutler a bigger target to throw to. The knock on Sims-Walker is that he hasn't been healthy for an entire season. Sims-Walker is reaching is prime and has more upside and potential.

Both Williams and Sims-Walker are interesting possibilities for the Bears at wide receiver. Look for the Bears to sign either one by the end of the day.
