It's about time! In an email to the 4th Phase and Season Ticket Holders, the Chicago Bears announced that fans can get a Chicago Bears branded IL license plate:

We're excited to announce that later today George and Pat McCaskey, Hall of Fame inductee Richard Dent and Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, will introduce the first ever Chicago Bears branded IL license plate. This state issued plate is a terrific way for Bears fans to show their team pride. It's also a good way to support Illinois public schools as $25 from each plate goes to the state's common school fund.
Chicago Bears Season Ticket Holders will have the first opportunity to order their plates. The primary benefit of this advance order opportunity is to select a custom vanity plate or numerical sequence before the general public has been notified at 2:30PM today. Please follow the instructions noted below to secure your Chicago Bears branded IL license plates now.
- Click "Pickaplate" link (located below instructions on that page).
- Select your vehicle type and click Specialty and then BEARS.
- Vehicles that are leased, in a trust or registered by businesses are not eligible to purchase plates using this system.
- To purchase license plates, you will need the following information:
- Your vehicle identification number (VIN) and current license plate number.
- The primary and secondary (if applicable) owner information: last name, driver's license number and last four digits of SSN.
- You may purchase these license plates using a MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express or Check.
- Pickaplate orders are mailed within 35 days.
If you have any questions or problems using this system, please contact Candace Wanzo, Administrator of Special Plates at (217) 524-0414 or email at cwanzo@ilsos.net.
