Bears match up well against all the NFC playoff teams

Bears fans shouldn't be worried about losing to the Packers. The Packers had to play their absolute best to get into the playoffs. Although the offense didn't do much against the Packers, the defense looked like their got their swagger back against one of the best offenses in the league. The Bears, on the other hand, didn't have to open up their playbook and give their potential playoff opponents something else to game plan around.

The Bears have an off week to rest up and game plan and are 2 more wins at another shot at the Super Bowl. 4th Phase, the Bears have a really good shot.

Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons are a solid team who are balanced offensively and sound
defensively. The Falcons run the ball well and the Bears are one of the
best at stopping the run. They can make the Falcons offense
one-dimensional. The Bears are a fast team and the Georgia Dome has a
fast surface. As we saw against the Saints, Ryan can be beaten at
home.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles will have to come to Soldier Field again. It's hard enough to
beat a team twice in one season so this is a dangerous matchup. The
Eagles have speed on offense but then again, so do the Bears. The
defense has the athletes to limit what Michael Vick can do. DeSean
Jackson is a constant threat to break a big play but as we saw in their
regular season game, the Bears can make him quit.

Seattle Seahawks

If they somehow make it back to Soldier Field, the Bears will be ready and not overlook them this time.
The Bears shouldn't have lost against the Seahawks the first time.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints will be outside the comfort of their dome and will be affected by the elements. As we've seen in 2006, the Saints were
affected by the sloppy field and the cold weather. The Bears defense
match up well with Drew Brees and the Saints passing attack.

Green Bay Packers

This is the only team I worry about. If the Packers make it to the
NFC Conference game, it will be highly contested because they know each
other so well. It would also be a fitting match up as they could be
playing for both the George Stanley Halas and Vince Lombardi trophies.

The Chicago Bears need all four phases (offense, defense, special teams and the fans) of the game to work together to pave the way to victory. This is the unofficial 4th Phase blog. You can follow the blog on Twitter, @4thPhase or #4thPhase.
