Vote for Bears STH in the 4th Phase Contest

The Chicago Bears are holding their first ever 4th Phase Contest. The winner will be rewarded with playoff tickets! I’ve entered the contest and need your vote! Here’s why I deserve your vote… The tone in which I write about the Bears has always been positive. When things are bad, I always trying to find... Read more »

Make sure you vote before Friday, 12pm EST so that he gets the award. Go to to vote. Forte has been key piece... Read more »

Bears cannot afford to sit their starters

Photo: Chicago Tribune The Bears simply cannot afford to lose to the Packers this Sunday. There are differing opinions on whether or not they should rest their players. Lovie Smith needs to prepare this team as if these are the playoffs not because they are the Bears’ biggest rivals, but because the Packers are a... Read more »

1st Goal: Beat the Packers (only half accomplished)

Photo: Chicago Tribune When Lovie Smith was hired in 2004, he said that his first goal as a head football coach was to beat the Packers. For so many years, the Packers have had the Bears number and he wanted to make sure the Bears had the upper hand under his watch. Smith has an... Read more »

Da Coach returns to coaching!

From Hugging Harold Reynolds: 25 years after Super Bowl shufflin’, former Bears coach Mike Ditka and former Niners/Lions coach Steve Mariucci will serve as head coaches in the 2011 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game, Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 7 p.m. ET, on ESPN.

Offensive line allows Bears to run on all cylinders

Photo: This is not the same offensive line that gave up 9 sacks in the first half against the Giants. This is also not the same group that force the Bears to be a one-dimensional offense. Roberto Garza’s return and Chris Williams’ shift to left guard are proving to be the most important roster... Read more »

Bears getting off the bus running

Photo: Chicago Tribune Remember the old Lovie Smith adage “Getting off the bus running”? Remember when we couldn’t wait until that line was put to rest after trading for Jay Cutler? Now, the same one-liner is music to our ears.  Against a stingy Jets defense that was ranked 5th overall and 4th against the rush,... Read more »

Is the 2010 team better than the 2006 team?

I’ve been hesitant on comparing this season’s Bears team to the ’06 team that made it to the Super Bowl. After clinching the NFC North, I thought it might be worth a look. When comparing both teams, I looked at combined stats up to week 15. I ignored where they ranked in comparison to the... Read more »

Players that deserve Pro Bowl consideration

Looks like he has finally found a home. This has been his best season as a pro.
Three Bears were voted into the Pro Bowl. To no ones surprise, Julius Peppers and Brian Urlacher, both earned a trip to Hawaii as both should be in the running for Defensive Player of the Year. Devin Hester, the GOAT, earned a trip as well. For the Bears to only have three Pro Bowlers doesn’t... Read more »

Brett Favre rooting for the Bears to beat the Packers

After getting knocked out of the game and quite possibly for the rest of his career (compliments of rookie, Corey Wootton), Brett Favre is now a Bears fan. Well, maybe not, but he will be rooting for the Bears to beat the Packers in the season finale. Here’s what he told Julius Peppers after Monday... Read more »
