One City. One Team.

If you haven't noticed already, the new "One City. One Team." Chicago Bears ads are all over the city at bus stops, billboards and everywhere else you might turn. As a person that works in marketing and a die-hard Bears fan, I think the ads are perfectly executed because it captures the heart and soul of Chicago and its love for the Bears.
In a recent report, the Nielsen Sports Media Exposure Index ranked the Bears fourth in popularity despite having a three consecutive mediocre seasons after their 2006 appearance in the Super Bowl.

Here's is the complete list of rankings from the Wall

Cowboys Tackle Top Spot in NFL Media Exposure Rankings _ Nielsen Wire.jpg

The Cowboys rank first because they've always been labeled as
"America's Team". The Steelers are probably second because that town
doesn't have anything else to root for and the Steelers have a winning
tradition. The Giants are ranked third because they are in the biggest
city in the country in the biggest market.

The Bears rank fourth
because of their fans, the 4th Phase. Hands down, we are the most passionate fans. Chicago is a sports town with popular teams that compete for the city's affection but Chicago is above all, a Bears town.

People still associate the Bears
with the Monsters of the Midway despite their recent failures. They associate the Bears with the greatest players of all time - Walter Payton, Dick Butkus, Gale Sayers and "America's Coach", Mike Ditka. They don't
necessarily have a winning tradition even though they have the most wins
out of all NFL teams.

How can the Bears move up the rankings? One word. Win. With Lovie Smith and Jerry Angelo's backs against the wall and a talented roster with Jay Cutler, Julius Peppers, Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs combined with a solid group of younger talent, the Bears are poised to make a run at the playoffs this season.
