Forte is poised to bounce back from sophomore slump

Much has been said about Matt Forte's sophomore slump. Last season, he didn't look fast and he looked like he lost a step. The reality is, that Forte was playing hurt the entire season, but he kept grinding. He looked more himself in the 4th quarter of last season and looks like he will start this season where he left off.

When talking to reporters after the Raiders game:

"I just had to let the blocking develop," Forte said. "They blocked everybody up front. The hole was the size of a truck. All I had to do was make the safety miss. The linemen made great blocks. They cut off the backside, and I just saw a bunch of green. The rest was just running. I think throughout the game, we got into more of a rhythm in the running game, and big things happen once you get a rhythm."
