Final cuts are set for Saturday as all 32 NFL franchises must trim their rosters from 90 to 53 players by the 4 p.m. ET deadline.
On the following day, the claiming period for players placed on waivers at the final roster reduction will end at 12 p.m. ET. Just an hour later, teams will be able to form their 10-man practice squads.
Thursday's preseason finale against Cleveland is just a formality for the Bears. With this being the team's fifth game this month, all of the backups and guys fighting for roster spots will be on the field.
