I heard some "predicts" on the season from some ESPN dudes, so I decided to give my take. Usually we've been pretty accurate here on the blog, and on our show "The Chicago Bears Talk Forum". So here's the way we see it:
Packers 11-5 Bears 10-6 Lions 8-8 or 9-7 Vikings 8-8 or 7-9
It will be tight for most of the season between the Bears and Pack. However if the offensive line continues to improve, and our issues on the defensive back-end get resolved, the Bears could run away late. At this time I see the Bears pretty much splitting each divisional game. If Chicago However can sweep Detroit and Minnesota, that should do it for the division crown.
The Lions will be tough only if Matt Stafford stays healthy, but keep in mind that their defense could be much improved and carry the load. The Vikes have McNabb and Peterson, and that's all. They don't have enough (even if Peterson has a monster season) to overtake the Bears or the Pack. Yes, what GB did last year was pretty amazing with all those players on the IR, but can they do it again? Rodgers is good, but he's no Tom Brady. Plus, between Rodgers and Cutler, Jay has the better arm and may very well out-dual Aaron this time around.
