It Came Down To A Big Play On Defense, But For The Wrong Team...

Well Bear Fans, the "unthinkable" did happen at Soldiers Field today, but both team left it on the field.  Aaron Rodgers didn't run-away with the game as most expected. In fact, Urlacher almost hung a pic-6 on Rodgers late in the 1st half.  If Urlacher had a bit more energy, he would stiff-armed Rodgers on his way to the end-zone.

Caleb Hanie put in a great performance in relief despite 2 INTs.  We waisted 2 offensive series with Collins which could have given us some points "sooner" rather than later (THANKS AGAIN JERRY!).  Jay Cutler was completely out of sync for the second time against GB.  Matt Forte ran his heart-out, but we just could not get our receivers involved until late in the game.
The O-Line was not that bad, only giving up 2 sacks, but we still could not find an answer to the Packers "zone-blitz".  Our defense bended a little, but did not break.  Plus, Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs made their case as to why they're the pillars of our defense.  Peppers was double-teamed pretty much the entire game, then got "ripped-off" on a "bogus" roughing call.
Overall, I am still proud of what our team achieved this year, but I am not proud of the fact GB took our trophy on our field.  The Bears must live with this loss "at-home" all during the off season, but MUST respond next year and get "retribution".
I give no congratulations to Pack for their win, because I will be routing for the AFC representative in SB XLV.  Join us for Monday nights show as Bill and I discuss the game further.

  • Bogus roughing call? you do realize peppers made helmet to helmet contact and that is illegal or did you miss the entire regular season where all the refs would have made the same call? let me guess you also don't believe the first interception by shields was good? keep crying the bears should have never been in the playoffs if it weren't for bad ref calls that went in chicago favor in the game against the packers and the lions so keep dreaming buddy. In the end your team didn't have enough offensive power, though i do praise chicago's defense they're scary.

Ok "Cheese-Wiz"! YES! I have been watching the regular season, and I agree with a lot of the players and "REAL-MEN" who don't agree with this H2H rule. Mac was right when he recalled Jack Lambert's words "what's next, are they going to put skirts on the QBs too?". Now as for the rest of your "trash-talk", if you want to argue this past season & your pitiful packer team, CALL-THE-SHOW!! Oh, I just remembered, NO Cheese-Heads have had the guts to call us this year anyway... Yes your team won, they outplayed us the entire 1st half, but our 3rd string QB almost sent you home crying. You don't stand a chance against Pittsburgh! So don't expect to be taking the Lombardi Trophy back to Cheeseville....
