It was a star-studded event with Eva Longoria and Felicity Huffman from Desperate Housewives, celebrity hairstylist, Ken Paves, Celebrity Apprentice finalist, Marlee Matlin, Kim Kardashian, and the cast from ABC Family's Switched at Birth.
Sean Forbes roused the crowd with his performance of several songs. His new video with Marlee Matlin, "Let's Mambo," debuted that night and from the crowd reaction, it was a success.
The cast from Switched at Birth was introduced. The new TV series was launched this week and the show broke a ratings record on Monday night.
Perhaps the funniest moment of the entire evening came when the stars gathered on stage for a little skit featuring a sign language class. Eva Longoria was taught the sign for "happy." She was signing, "Yes, I'm happy." But there was just one problem... instead of the American Sign Language sign for happy, Eva was happily signing away the sign for "sexual intercourse."
For the folks with hearing in the normal range, it probably threw them for a loop to see celebrity hairstylist, Ken Paves, signing away without using his voice. An interpreter voiced for him, sans one moment when he let his voice slip out while signing. According to Ken's Facebook page, he went to school to learn American Sign Language before going to school to learn to style hair. ," he wrote.
The star-studded evening was complete with a surprise guest: Stevie Wonder.
