Diabetic Friendly Halloween

I lucked out because I was already in my Halloween swan song when I was diagnosed as diabetic.  Yes, I still a couple of years of no candy.   Not many people have diabetic friendly fare at the ready for diabetic trick-or-treaters.  It is such a cruel cruel world for us to endure.  I decided to put together a list of diabetic friendly treats:

  1. Uncanded apples, just stick  a stick in an apple.
  2. Sweet potatoes cut into bite size pieces with m’s carved into the side of them,  (my special one suggested that, thanks Alexandra)
  3.  Powered Spleda sprinkled almonds
  4. Have someone eat candy then breath in your direction
  5. Corn not of the candy variety
  6. Starburst wrappers(if freshly eaten by a non-diabetic still have a sweet scent)
  7. Sugar free gum it is low in carbs and better than sugar free candy read the back of bag for explanation, let us just say it has the effect of Ex-lax if you eat too many

Well I guess the mention of Ex-lax is where I will end it.  Happy Halloween
