Pizza with a cream cheese crust.

Thank to my friend Heather for the head’s up on this recipe.  I miss pizza and it shows since the only 2 recipes I have posted about are pizzas.

This one is a little different than the last which was a cauliflower based crust.  This one is cream cheese based.  The recipe says it is no carb which is a bit misleading.  There were a little bit of carbs(less than a gram) in the lite cream cheese that I bought.  There was also about 20 grams of carbs in the sauce I used.

I was unable to find alternatives, however, as a pizza alternative less than 25 grams of carbs is pretty stellar.  As far as the pizza itself, I am still a bigger fan of the cauliflower crust.  It is thicker than and not as soggy as the cream cheese crust.  Next time I might double up on ingredients and cook it a few minutes longer.

My toppings were basic, Ragu for the sauce and mozzarella cheese.  All in all I liked the taste of it.  Nothing will ever replace the real thing but this was a good alternative.  It does not take long to put together and is very simple.
