Info About Diabetic Screenings at Sam's Club

If diabetes runs in your family or if you have heard from doctors that you might be at risk for diabetics, you might want to go to Sam’s Club on September 8th from 11am to 3pm for a diabetes screening.   You can get a glucose reading, A1C test and blood pressure check.  If cost has been a reason to not get screened then free is right up your alley.

In fact, I am such a fan of free stuff that I might get screened just because it is free.  Also it would be fun with better control if they told me that I was not diabetic.

Seriously though, this disease is growing in numbers and while it is an inconvenience it is not that bad of a life.  You might even get lucky enough to write your own blog about it.  It is very important to be screened, you might not even know how at risk you are until you get screened.

Diabetes has come a long way since I was diagnosed.  It is a life of small inconvenience, but you will get used to it, it will become second nature and the diet is not terrible.  I get compliments all the time about how well I eat, this was not the case when I was not taking care of myself.  It is a not a fad diet, and it is hardly a diet at all.  You can still eat what you like, just not all you can eat.

I recommend taking advantage of free diabetes screenings and will try to post them as they come out.  There is a large community out there with help and advice.  You will not be alone so there is nothing to be worried about.
