It is rather amazing that it took me so long to post about this, but here we are. What to look out for as symptoms of diabetes. Some symptoms could be hunger, extreme weight loss, frequent urination, thirst and extreme fatigue.
When I was 13, I nor my parents knew what to look out for. So when I wet myself in school, it was a blessing and a curse. If not for Mrs. Canna it could have gotten much much worse. So parents especially should try to be aware if things seem to be abnormal.
Most kids will let you know. I never really noticed any issues. To me I just had to pee. Everyone does right?
Those are common symptoms for Type 1. Many are the same for Type 2 but add in blurred vision, frequent infections and tingling in hands and feet. Some of these symptoms become just a side effect of diabetes over time.
I will be completely honest, I hate the tingling in my feet, I do not get it in my hands that much. I just wish my feet could feel terra firma like everyone else. It could be worse but it is bothersome. This is where I mention that I am not a doctor and I am not diagnosing you I am advising of what to look out for. If you feel concerned check with your doctor. Knowing for sure is always better than not knowing at all.
