Foot (gross) care

I hate feet, on anyone really, even the word sounds gross.  However, in diabetics your feet are the first to go.  I have been instructed by my doctors to wash my feet every day.  Thanks doc, should I also brush my teeth and shave my legs?  What? Like I am the only dude who shaves his legs?  Would it be better if I was an avid bicyclist?  Aerodynamics. It is just science people.

Anyway, I have always washed my feet…seriously gross word.  Now that I am being told to it has made me paranoid, am I doing it right?  I am very thorough to the point of putting my foot down and falling out of the shower.  Yes, this happened, and yeah it hurt.  It is embarrassing but it is what it is.

I also have to worry about what shoes I wear.  I like Chuck Taylors but they do not provide proper sole support.  I like nice casual shoes too but they are not great comfortable every day shoes.  I am not much of sneaker aficionado either when all the kids were clamoring for new Jordans I was rockin’ LA gear.

I guess the point of this post is that even though I despise them I need to take care of them.  So I diligently wash every day throw some lotion on them and I am currently in the market for a new house for them.  In the meantime, flip flops are out of the question.

Also, I don’t shave my legs, because I am not much of a bike rider and this is not Breaking Away
