Filling up on ch-chi-chia seeds

So in my everlasting journey to health, I have discovered Chia seeds.  They are not just for giving cartoon characters afros anymore.  Nope, people are eating them.  People like me.  You are surely scratching your head and wondering if I have lost my mind.  Well I lost my mind years ago, I quite enjoy it, but no, just hear me out.

Chia seeds are a good way to add filler to a meal without affecting the taste.  The Chia seeds can absorb up to 12 times its own weight and can grow in your stomach and give you a full feeling.  It is also believed that for diabetics it turns into a gel in your stomach that can slow the transformation of carbs into sugar for better blood glucose control.

I have been using them for about a week and I have noticed that it has helped curb my hunger.  They are also full of nutrients.  Mayans and Aztecs used the seeds as a source of nutrition before nutrition was cool.  I know it sounds like I am a Chia salesman but I am not.  This blog is not for that purpose.  My intent is to help and this is a good way to curb hunger.

I put them in my oatmeal in the morning and I do not even notice they are in there.  You can also prepare them with a salad.  I was skeptical when I first heard the idea.  I am skeptical of a lot but I am willing to do anything I can to stifle my hunger in times when I cannot eat.  Though make sure you keep some floss and toothpicks handy the tiny seeds get stuck in your teeth easily.

  • I guess it is a real thing, and you don't have to farm them on Chia Obama, Chia Scooby Doo, Chia Shrek (he's green already), or Chia sheep.

However, this hits me like eating Nopalina. And basically, I use oatmeal without the chia for the same effect.

I was surprised that they served this purpose. Thank you for reading!

  • I have found the benefits of chia seeds, I began to take chia oil capsules 2 months ago and my performance has increased considerably. Fully recommended:
