The longest week

It’s been one of those weeks that took forever to end. It was one of those viruses which make you want to find the parent that sent the kid sick to school to get your own kid sick, and give him/her a piece of your mind. (Although, you will never know for sure how your... Read more »

Elizabeth Edwards and the gift

Our cousin Debbie found this picture right after my mother in law's death. Always sitting by her beloved husband Howard who she was sure she would survive. He is 13 years older than her. Goes to show us life can always have a different plan for us.
I read it on CNN via Twitter on Monday evening and my heart just crumbled.  “Elizabeth Edwards is surrounded by family and friends in her North Carolina home after doctors informed her that additional cancer treatment would be pointless.” I knew it would be a matter of hours before Mrs. Edwards would end her 6... The Pendulum Swings

It was so nice for everyone to come out in the dead of winter to help us celebrate our mom's birthday. She deserved it!!
My Previous Blog > “In Isolation: No Visitors Allowed!”  In January, Atia was released from the hospital after a brief three day stay. A few days later, she had a home blood draw and I prayed that her counts were high enough to resume chemo. My previous blog > “CELEBRITY PHOTOS: “The Winner’s Circle” Gala Dinner” We just wrapped our interview with Dina Manzo from The Real Housewives of New Jersey; she couldn’t have been nicer. Back To Reality: The Trifecta

Both of my babies slept a lot, but for very different reasons. I love how Atia's touching Asher, as if she's making sure that he's real.
My Previous Blog Entry: “DINA MANZO’S INTERVIEW PODCAST: The Real Housewives of New Jersey” Well, the fantasy of hobnobbing with the stars is over and as the fairy godmother said in Cinderella, “On the stroke of twelve, the spell will be broken, and everything will be as it was before.” Dropping us back into reality and...
