Camp is over and no, the 4 and half year old is not the one who is going to have withdrawal, it's mostly her parents. Pre school doesn't start for 4 more weeks. What am I going to do with my Energizer bunny? It's not like camp was taking care of her boundless energy, but it surely helped.
Amelia went to camp every day for 3 hours. Every Wednesday she had some kind of field trip that would take the entire day. No matter when we would pick her up, Amelia would ask "so what are we doing next?" This kid likes constant action. She is not wired for rest mode, ever. So imagine my anxiety at the prospect of 4 weeks at Camp Belaval-Vihon. Even her loving baby sitter is scared, trying to figure out activities for our "active" youngster.
If Sunday was any indication, we are screwed. Amelia woke up at 6:30AM and asked "what are our plans for today?" I said we had none. "Let's go to Navy Pier." And after almost 4 hours at Navy Pier, and over $80 poorer, the adults called it a day.
"So where are we going next?"
I clearly had this girl when I was too old. Ay Mama!
