My Previous Blog > "Atia's Final Spinal Tap"
We went down to Springfield, Illinois for the 4th of July this year, just like we did last year. It's tradition!
The entire weekend was packed with tons of fun activities:
- Playing in the Pool
- Playing Croquet
- Making and Using Glow Chalk
- Watching Fireworks
- Watching Skydivers
- Riding Bikes and Scooters
- Playing Uno
- Made S'mores
- Ate Ice Cream Cones
- Ate Homemade Popsicles
- Eating, eating and eating...
We also had fun dance parties. All decked out in her Red, White and Blue, holding flags in both hands and singing along, you'll see Atia (and Paxton - Atia's cousin) bouncing around to The Wiggles' "Romp Bomp A Stomp".
The picture of little girl who is proud to be an American AND only days away from her very, VERY last oral chemo treatment. She's done tomorrow - Wednesday night - when she drinks her last syringe of fruit juice and chemo.
In the words of Three Dog Night:
Celebrate! Celebrate! Dance to the music.
*Don't mind the background chitter chatter . They didn't know I was taping . And, I apologize for the video quality; it was a bit dark in the room.
