Thumbnail image for projectladybuglogo_Atia.jpgLast December (2010), Atia's Project Ladybug Fund launched at Comer. Dina Manzo - Project Ladybug's founder and former Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member - flew in for the event; my family, my friends and my wonderful team of dedicated volunteers stood beside me as this new chapter was unveiled in my daughter's name.

Talk about turning lemons into lemonade; it was magical and ranked up there as one of my favorite experiences of all time.

Since the launch we've been feverishly working on getting ready for Chicago's First Ladybug Bash on April 7, 2011, a fundraiser presented by Grossinger City Autoplex and Manny B. & Co. to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer benefiting the patients and families at Comer. It is going to be an amazing bash, even the Chicago Sun-Times is talking about it.

The theme is Treads & Threads and the event will be hosted at Grossinger City Autoplex where luxury cars and amazing fashions from Chicago's design house, AKIRA will be featured.

Check out this ABC New Story:

The fundraiser's concept is fresh and exciting; there's something for everyone! As you walk through the venue it'll feel like three events in one - a fun, sparkly ladybug experience featuring an art gallery, DJ and ballroom dance demos; a tantalizing food tasting showcasing over 15 of Chicago's top restaurants and a guys' gameland in the "Pit Stop" (aka, mancave), where interactive games, technology and music merge.

And, as if that's not enough -  I totally sounds like an infomercial now - the first 500 people to purchase tickets get Ladybug Bash Bags, goodie bags, favor bags, swag bags - whatever you want to call 'em, you'll get 'em...

There will be so much to do that I promise you will be glad you came out to support such a worthy cause. Please come join me and help spread the word like BRAVO TV has.
