Happy New Year!

Tomorrow is New Year's Eve and for many, this night is a really big deal.  For me, not so much.  I have never been a big fan of New Year's Eve as it reminds me how fast time is going.  Also, at this time of year, I stop and reflect on where my life is at and some of the goals and resolutions that I did or did not keep.

For New Year's Eve, I have celebrated the night in many ways.  We have done the big hotel parties downtown.  We have gotten together at neighborhood parties so that the trek home was easy.  Also, as part of my job at FTD, for about 10 years, I have celebrated New Year's Eve in California working on our Rose Parade float.

However, one of my best New Year's Eve celebrations was when Ken and I stayed home and did nothing.  We made homemade pasta, drank wine and watched movies.  I am not sure we even made it to midnight, but that was ok.  Sometimes a low-key night at home with some one you care about is even more fun than those grandeur parties.

So whatever your plans are this New Year's Eve, enjoy yourself and have fun.

Happy New Year and thank you for all of your support and taking the time to read Ay Mama!
