The final pit stop of the Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup was back at the Marriot Hotel (where we began the day with the celebrity "Start Your Engines" Brunch). Our team was tired, but sad that the event was coming to a close; we were having the best time!
We pulled in to the loading dock area, walked passed some stinky garbage, down a non-descript white hallway (very institutional looking), through some white doors and entered a kitchen prep area. We could hear a lot of commotion, but couldn't really see much.
After listening to the instructions and selecting four of our teammates to complete the challenge, we were given chef hats and escorted to our prep station.
To decorate a cake within a specific time.
Just good ol' fashion manual whipping.
Who knew that turning whipping cream and sugar into frosting was such a major undertaking?!? (I bet Nina, our Wednesday recipe blogger did).
