Dear Mel,
My friend has been inviting my sister over alot and its kinda making me feel like she likes my sister and not me. I feel like all my friends like my sister more than me. What do I do?

Dear Left Out,
Well, to answer your question, we must go to the root of the problem: why do they like your sister more than you? Perhaps she has a more positive attitude than you. Are you constantly whining or complaining about your life? Let's pretend you are. So, hypothetically, your friends would rather be around a cheery person than a Negative Nancy.
Of course, that's just an example. Your sister could be funnier or nicer than you, thus explaining the reason your friends would hang out with her.
I'm not saying this is fair. If my friends chose my brother over me, I'd be pissed. In this situation, you need to stand up for yourself and figure out what's going on. Talk to your friends about it. In addition, you may want to have a conversation with your sister about how you're feeling. Because it's no fun to feel left out.
-Mel
