Chicago Gallery Snack Report: Friday, April 30

The free lunches consisted of two sandwiches (turkey, chicken breast, or roast beef), which came on a really thick, tough bun (maybe more shelf stable?). They also came with some pasta with a pesto-like substance on 'em, fruit, and chips. I'm not going to lie, it wasn't the best lunch I've ever had, but it was free, and that's what counts. And, despite their rather uninspired contents, these press lunches disappeared almost the instant they were set out; it was hit or miss whether we got one in time each day. So, I guess that's the lesson: there IS such a thing as a free lunch, but only if you're press, and they're not spectacular, and even so, the early bird totally gets the, um, free lunch. Anyway, I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, so thanks for the lunch, Artropolis! I'm going to end this here before I drag out any more hackneyed expressions.
