Chicago Gallery Snack Report (3/18/11 - 3/26/11)

So we spent the night talking to Nick about the food, to Tony about his upcoming play (Station Lost, at the Steppenwolf this summer), and talked curatorial theory with some employees of a certain Chicago contemporary art museum. And every few minutes Tony would order me to go eat more food, which I dutifully did until I was quite stuffed. Tony joked earlier that he is "the heavyweight champ of snacks," and I think it's safe to say he's earned it.
by Jeriah HildwinePhotos by  Stephanie Burke The following are where we went these past two weekends.  Check out the slideshow for details on the snacks!  (A couple of galleries on this list aren’t in the slideshow either because they had no snacks, or we didn’t have any, or we forgot to take a picture, or... Chicago Gallery Snack Report: 2/11/2011 & 2/12/2011

Saturday we headed over to Swimming Pool Project Space, for "Breaking Up With Chicago," the goodbye party for their Albany Park Space. They had beer, wine (red and sparkling white), and a great assortment of cheeses, crackers, and fruit. My favorite combination was a spread, I think it was blueberry-jalapeno, with a cheese that might have been gouda, on a cracker. There were also some little crackers that were just full of spices, several other cheeses, grapes, and blueberries. We drank red wine into which I kept slipping fruit like roofies. We ended up buying a Liz Nielsen print ("Driving"). Thanks for all the snacks, ladies! Best of luck in your upcoming adventures!
