Here's what we've learned about the Sox two days into camp

In two days of pitchers and catchers, and some position players, beginning their routine for the long season, not much news is expected. But for White Sox fans starving for tidbits after the winter there are a few things to chew on.

--Manager Robin Ventura turned down a contract extension in November because he wants to concentrate on the here and now.

--Newly acquired infielder Jeff Keppinger took his first batting practice along with his new teammates.

--Paul Konerko came in early to take his physical.

--Tyler Flowers is now No. 21. He was previously 17.

--Backup catcher Hector Gimenez, delayed by Visa issues, will report late.

Perhaps most important is that John Danks will make his spring debut today. A fully recovered Danks, of course, is a key to the White Sox's 2013 success.
