The 12 days of White Sox Christmas...

In the spirit of the season:

On the First Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me… 1 new General Manager in Rick Hahn, a fresh new voice at the helm of the baseball operations department.

On the Second Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me…2 new infielders in Jeff Keppinger and Angel Sanchez, who hope to give the Sox a new offensive dimension.

On the Third Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me…3 key coaching changes involving former Sox players: Daryl Boston the new first base coach, Bobby Thigpen the new bullpen coach and the popular Harold Baines, now serving as the assistant hitting coach.

On the Fourth Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me…4 games with the New York Mets in 2013, two at the Cell in June, and two at Citi Field in May, the first time the Sox have played the Mets in the Big Apple.

On the Fifth Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me…a potentially outstanding 5-man rotation of Jake Peavy, Chris Sale, John Danks, Gavin Floyd and Jose Quintana with Hector Santiago waiting in the wings if Danks isn't recovered from injury, Floyd is traded or Quintana doesn't repeat his 2012 performance.

On the Sixth Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me…6 games to begin the '13 season at home: three with the Royals and three with the Mariners before heading to Washington, Cleveland and Toronto.

On the Seventh Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me..a bullpen 7-strong with the likes of Addison Reed, Nate Jones, Matt Thornton, Jesse Crain, Donnie Veal, Brian Omogrosso, Leyson Septimo and a few surprises to be sure.

On the Eighth Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me…how about on the 8th anniversary of the 2005 World title, we shock the world and win another.

On the Ninth Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me…barring any deals, a starting 9 that could look like this: Alejandro De Aza (cf), Jeff Keppinger (2b), Adam Dunn (dh), Paul Konerko (1b), Alex Rios (rf), Dayan Viciedo (lf), Alexei Ramirez (ss), Tyler Flowers (c), Gordon Beckham (2b).

On the Tenth Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me…10-game "killer" road trip from August 30-September 8 with three in Boston, three in New York and four in Baltimore before coming home for three with the Tigers.

On the Eleventh Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me…11 victories from Peavy last season in a strong comeback year--with good reason to believe that his total will increase significantly in 2013.

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas the White Sox gave to me…As with every year, a lot to look forward to as we head into the new year.

Happy Holidays!
