After 34 years of life, I finally attended my very first professional sporting event when I watched a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field last week.
Not knowing what to expect, my partner and I showed up at Wrigley Field about an hour before to the Cubs hosted the Milwaukee Brewers.
This head start gave us time to walk around and explore the historic ball park before it filled with loads of fans.
While exploring, we visited the first timers booth in the lobby to get our Official First Timers Certificate to commemorate our special day.
After exploring, we settled into our seats with a HAT OF NACHOS to watch the game. Seriously, a hat of nachos. It was fabulous. I had no clue anything like this existed.
Between the nachos and our large souvenir drinks, we were in our seat for the first several innings stuffing our faces.
When we finally left our seat, we were exploring the wonderful views and features of the historic ball park. It truly is a feeling of history and greatness when you walk around the stadium.
Of course, adding to the excitement of our first time was the fact that the Cubs were winning. After falling to the Brewers the 3 previous games, they rallied ahead to beat them in this game 6-1.
That score was achieved late into the evening because we had an hour rain delay around the 7th inning. The delay was okay with us because we just watched how they took care of the field. The boys in Menard's shirts really go out of their way to prevent the field from getting too wet.
All-in-all, the evening was truly fantastic. Though I am not a huge Baseball fan, I would definitely go again.
I took well over 100 photos during the course of the evening, and I have selected a few to share with you below.
I hope you enjoy!
