Good Riddance to the meh of 2012.

Here it is, the final day of 2012. I must admit that I do not believe I have ever been more excited for a year to end.

From start to finish, 2012 and I never found our groove. It was a year of more downs than ups, more sads than glads, and more setbacks than progress.

With a few notable exceptions like visiting friends from Arkansas, getting better acquainted with public transport, and a few other things, 2012 will go down as a year that I am glad is over.

I am not sure if the year turned sour from the get go because I did not start it with the Southern tradition of Black Eyed Peas for good luck. If that is the reason, then 2013 will have no excuse, as I have a fresh bag of Black Eyed Peas ready for tomorrow.

Fortunately, I do not feel alone in being happy that 2012 is ending. I have heard many people say that 2012 was less than stellar. Hell, not only did CNN admit that 2012 was the year of "meh", New Yorkers even celebrated a Good Riddance Day in Times Square.

Thanksfully though, 2012 is almost over. In just a few hours we get to welcome in 2013. Let us all hope the same fate does not befall 2013.

Starting at Midnight tonight, we have 365 days to make 2013 the best year ever.
