In a time when more and more studies are showing that children raised by homosexual parents are just as normal as those raised by heterosexual parents, self-hating homosexual Rupert Everett disagrees.
Everett informed the Sunday Times Magazine that he "can't think of anything worse than being raised by two dads."
In the same edition, the Magazine interviews Everett's mother. She was quoted as saying that "in the past, I have said that I wish Rupurt was straight, and I probably still feel that."
Everett's mother went on to say that she would "like him to have a pretty wife."
"He'd make a wonderful father," she said. Of course, she does not believe that he should be a father because of his homosexuality.
Based on those comments, I would go out on a limb and state that it is probably more than partially his mother's fault that Everett is such a self-hating homosexual.
From this interview and Everett's own past comments, you can tell that Everett was not fully accepted by his own family. This is probably what has caused him to become so bitter to the gay community.
In 2009, Everett admitted that he felt it was his homosexuality that prevented him from having a successful career. He felt that being gay was what kept him from getting good gigs in Hollywood.
Even in the interview with the Sunday Times Magazine, Everett admitted that "I don't feel like I'm part of any 'community'."
Well Everett, maybe if you would own up to your own actions and quit hating your own kind, people may surround you with love and support. Until then, you are just sad. You are making it a habit of blaming your homosexuality on everything that is wrong in your life. I feel bad for you because I would hate to go through life hating who I was. I can not even imagine the toll that this self-hatred is taking on your mind.
