If you have been around me, you will know that I like to complain about the lack of good Mexican food in the suburbs. However, thanks to our friends Ben and Joe, I can no longer do that.
While visiting them in Addison, they took us to La Hacienda, located at 1571 West Lake Street, Addison, IL 60101.
First and foremost, it is important to note that La Hacienda has white cheese dip. While this is a staple in any southern Mexican restaurant, it is very hard to come by up here in the northwest burbs of Chicago. However, La Hacienda has it.
I was excited to find cheese dip, that I did not even mind that they served it to us cold. Fortunately, Joe was thinking on his feet and had it sent back to be warmed up. Once warm, it was even better. Not as good as I have had, but good.
What really sold us next was the fact that our food was wonderful. Kyle had the Burrito Suizo, while I had the Chimichanga. Both of our dishes so large that neither of us could finish them.
Of course, size is one thing, but the fabulous tastes both dishes had was the phenomenal factor. The beef in my Chimichanga was flavored to perfection.Unlike many places I have tried, the Chimichanga was not overly greasy.
So, if you find yourself in the 'burbs, make sure you stop by and visit La Hacienda. I know I will definitely go there again.
