Due to illness, I dropped the ball on my healthy posts for the month of March. I had also quit tracking what I was eating, and, to make matters worse, I was absent from the gym for two weeks. Of course, this is just life. The point is that I am not giving up on being healthy, but instead I will acknowledge my lapse and move on.
This morning I feel wonderful though. I was at the gym at 5:30 a.m. It had been exactly two weeks since I had been to the gym, and the last time was not that much fun. I was just starting to get sick, and my legs hurt so bad that I could not even walk around the track. Fortunately, today was great.
One thing I learned today is that I should play more basketball. I have never played as an adult. That changed this morning though when I started shooting hoops while at the the Y.
While me playing sports is surprising enough, me actually making the baskets was astounding. My buddy Jen was there, and she was even impressed.
So, with that said, I do expect to be getting a call from the Chicago Bulls today. Surely they need a chubby white guy on the field to finish out their roster.
